Hazlitt's Hotels

The visual language was drawn directly from the interiors: deep greens from Batty Langley’s library, mustard golds from Hazlitt’s upholstery, plum and charcoal from The Rookery’s suites, and soft greys from painted panelling. Typography referenced the engraved letterforms of 18th-century master George Bickham, paired with Garamond Premier, linking the hotels’ Georgian fabric with a refined editorial sensibility.

To carry this richness into the digital space, we defined the foundations of the group website, setting out how photography, editorial content, and booking functionality should work in harmony. This created space for the hotels’ stories to unfold with the same wit and warmth guests encounter in person.

The work was captured in brand guidelines and a website plan, supported by example page designs to demonstrate the look and feel in practice. These provided the creative foundations and direction for UP Hotel Agency, who developed the full site while staying true to the design language.

The result is a visual language and digital presence that extend the Hazlitt’s experience beyond the townhouse walls; layered, atmospheric, and unmistakably Hazlitt’s.
