Aikwood Tower

Updating the brand of a grade A-listed 16th Century Tower House, abound with 500 years of history.

Aikwood approached Delight to help update their brand, positioning Aikwood Tower as the hidden gem that it is in the heart of the Scottish Borders. We created a contemporary brand and website that aligned with the tower's sumptuous 21st Century style while emphasising the heritage of the Tower. Updating their identity, retaining the combination of their initials and incorporating the turrets of the tower and its founding date of 1517.

By developing their tone of voice and creating a series of illustrations, we described the four key aspects of their offer: Adventure, Romance, Comfort and History.


We were at a pivotal point in our business development when we started working with Delight. Our doors had been open for six years and our reputation as one of the most luxurious and unique places to stay in Scotland was growing. But we needed to extend our reach and increase occupancy rates.

Delight helped us rethink our corporate identity, developing a brand direction that truly reflected the core values of our business and enabled a strong sales platform. The new website and digital strategy work that came out of this have become the springboard we needed. And the business is already seeing the benefits.
